A sleeper headline is that new game engines are making their way to iOS (and Darwin generally).
MLB: The Show comes from a PlayStation studio with its proprietary game engine.
Hitman (released for iOS this year) comes with its own proprietary game engine.
Apple’s strategy for gaming is starting to pay off.
The real wins will be when AAA titles co-release on Apple with other platforms. Or when Apple gets — or makes — exclusive AAA titles.
